DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Digital Marketing Manager to support our growing super premium spirit business. You will play an important part in our success, overseeing our ecommerce, digital marketing strategies and creating content. Having a creative eye is essential as you will create our assets using our brand guidelines.
Your role will include:
Manage, maintain and develop company website, including general website health, features, content and eCommerce functions.
Working with directors, develop, implement and execute a marketing strategy to meet business objectives.
Maintain good SEO health, paying particular attention to Google.
Set up, manage and optimise a Google Ads strategy in line with wider marketing and business objectives.
Manage company presence on third party websites and social media channels including: Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tripadvisor, Google Business and future channels where applicable.
Create and implement regular organic social media content across our used platforms, in keeping with our wider strategy.
Create, implement and manage paid social media advertising across our preferred channels, in line with wider marketing strategy and business objectives.
Create and implement email marketing content in line with the wider marketing and business objectives.
Manage relationships with industry partners, advertising partners and influencers, attending events and meetings where required.
Design and creation of digital and print assets for company website, email, social media channels, internal POS, marketing collateral, customer support tools, external advertising.
Assist with development of product offering, branding and packaging where applicable.
Acting as brand manager to ensure that all internal and external customer touchpoints are compliant with our brand guidelines.
Produce photography for company website, social media channels, marketing collateral and packaging as required, in line with company style and brand guidelines.
Provide other staff with adequate training to effectively use our ecommerce systems, booking systems, postage suppliers and to manage customer orders.
When necessary, adopt a customer service role to customers in store, by email or over the phone.
When necessary, assist with packing and processing ecommerce and trade customer orders.
When necessary, assist with production tasks including cleaning of distillery and equipment, distillation, filling and labelling of bottles and intake of stock.
As we are small, all staff are required to assist with general Distillery duties, including but not limited to bottling and labelling line, packing, deliveries, events and such like. This hands on experience does give an extra level of understanding into what makes us and our spirits so unique, as well as providing lots of variety.
The nature of the business requires lifting heavy goods and due to alcohol licensing laws you must be 18 or over at the time of appointment.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Essential skills/experience:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office / Google suite.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / Premiere
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Wordpress website builder.
- Good understanding of Google Analytics.
- Demonstrable experience with implementing Google Ads campaigns using Google Ad Manager.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, Ad Manager and other paid social media ad platforms.
- Experience with Website hosting
- Experience with Mailchimp (or similar) and an understanding of audience segmentation is preferred.
- Photography and design experience
Desirable skills/experience:
- Illustrator / After Effects
- Experience with WooCommerce ecommerce platform
- GoDaddy web hosting

Located central to the County Town of Kent, Maidstone Distillery is situated in the historic and beautiful setting of the Market Buildings and old Corn Exchange.
We are a distillery making five fabulous spirits: three gins, a low alcohol gin and a liqueur. Our George Bishop Gin has been lucky enough to be awarded the 2021 Kent Spirit of the Year Award and won its first gold medal this year too. We run five star rated visitor experiences, consisting of distillery tours, guided gin making, cocktail masterclasses and private events.
Maidstone has a fascinating history of distilling dating as far back as the 18th Century, and it is this alongside our own personal desire to create unique and delicious spirits, that makes us so unique.
