Do you have excellent organisational skills, creative flair and a keen interest in planning conferences and events that deliver maximum impact and return on investment? If the most organised person you know is you, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for a Events Lead to be an integral part of our marketing team, trusted to work independently while coordinating colleagues’ work. You’ll have the opportunity to plan and coordinate all events and conferences we attend, in the UK and overseas, with the chance to travel when face-to-face events return.

You will:

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for events and conferences, from initial assessment through efficient delivery, to proving ROI.
  • Work with sub-sector leaders and business developers to plan future events and conferences.
  • Create and optimise an event instruction document for all event attendees.
  • Communicate with event organisers to administer events, including booking attendees, booth design and build, shipping, logistics, etc.
  • Liaise with administrative colleagues for hotel booking, flights, etc.
  • Update and maintain our central events planning document.
  • Work closely with our graphics team and external partners to organise the design and delivery of all event marketing material.
  • Design and implement event promotion plans, including email marketing, social media promotion, paid digital advertising and content creation.
  • Coordinate with partners, sector leaders and business developers to assess event opportunities and use your expertise to recommend specific events and appropriate levels of investment.
  • Using our CRM and other digital tools you will own the process of collecting, distributing and nurturing event leads.
  • As part of the wider marketing team, you’ll contribute to the company’s marketing strategy and support other team members as necessary.
  • Take on other administrative tasks as required.

About You

  • You have previous experience in an events management or similar role, ideally within a consultancy or other professional services business.
  • Most importantly, you go beyond event administration, working diligently and creatively to maximise the commercial impact of our events programme, proving ROI to the wider business.
  • You have a demonstrable track record in planning and delivering multiple events each month, achieving excellent results against demanding time and workload pressures.
  • You’re equally experienced and confident with both face-to-face and digital events.
  • You’re familiar with digital marketing tools, including CRM, email marketing, social media management and ideally marketing automation.
  • You have a good eye for booth design and graphic design fundamentals.
  • You take a structured, methodical approach to your work, with excellent organisation skills and the ability to organise the work of others to achieve shared goals.
  • You have credibility and gravitas, enabling you to speak with senior colleagues on an equal footing and be trusted to share your events marketing experience and expertise.
  • You’re commercially minded with great business acumen.
  • You’re self-motivated and have a positive team-player attitude.
