We're building a content marketing agency from the ground up, focused on doing great work for great people.

We're looking to hire a full-time Content Executive to join the team so that we can fulfil the high demand for our services. Our clients are amazing creators, business owners and entrepreneurs who we learn from every day by working on their content and personal brands.

We're growing fast and there's no red tape! Since the pandemic struck, we've gone from a 1-man team to a team of talented freelance content writers and video editors. Now we're at an inflexion point. It's time to scale and to grow our core full-time team. We're laying the foundations, meaning you're joining a new company where there is no ceiling to what you can take on and there are lots of opportunities up for grabs.

This role is not for somebody wanting a fancy logo on their CV. The truth is, we don't have a website yet for the company and we don't even have our business name. That's all to come (obviously!) but we've solely been focusing on doing work for our clients that speaks for itself :)

If joining a company in its infancy excites you, please read on!

Role Summary:

We are looking for a UK-based social media specialist to join our growing content marketing agency, who is comfortable with creating, writing and repurposing content for all of the major social media platforms.

We work as a content partner for our clients. We don’t try to reinvent the wheel. We identify what is working in the fast-moving world of social media and back our ideas up with implementation. Think Gary Vaynerchuk and Steven Bartlett. We outline and execute a content strategy for our clients, delivering on both quality and quantity to have a true impact.

The right candidate for this role knows what content works best across different platforms and will always be on the lookout for the latest social media trends and copywriting best practices. The day-to-day of the role will be writing and creating content. This needs to be something you intrinsically enjoy, made easier by how our clients are experts in their industries and we're always learning from them!

The Skills You Need:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a relevant marketing or social media position.
  • A high level of English literacy with an eye for detail.
  • A strong organisational ability to plan content weeks in advance.
  • Strong copywriting skills for short, engaging content.
  • Working knowledge of how to repurpose content across multiple platforms.
  • Novice to intermediate graphic design skills.
  • The ability to create engaging microcontent such as TikToks, Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Role Scope:

Hours: Full-time with a 3-month probation period.

Pay: £20,000 - £25,000 dependent on experience (37.5 hours per week).

Holiday: 20 days holiday, plus your birthday and all bank holidays.

Location: We would love our full-time team to be UK-based for in-person meetups, but this is a fully remote position (work from anywhere). We currently work asynchronously but we’re planning to meet up more regularly in the future.

How to Apply:

Please apply by sending your CV and a cover letter to content@joegannon.co.uk with "Content Executive" in the subject line. You will be invited to answer 5-10 video questions to learn more about your interest in the role. If successful, you will be invited to complete a content task that will give you a feel for the type of work that you would do. The last stage of the process is being invited to a 1:1 interview with the business owner. We will base the final interview shortlist on your CV, cover letter, video interview answers and task performance.

We need to hire for this role immediately, so please include in your email your notice period (if you have one).
