Senior Marketing Brand Manager

Working in our smaller domestic appliance category. You will support in defining strategy, identifying optimal brand positioning and selling propositions that are relevant, differentiated and win in market. The products in this range include our prestigious coffee machines and vacuum cleaners including the recent 2022 Which best buy, Triflex range.

What will you be doing?
Driving brand performance for the category, by understanding market opportunity for growth, competitive dynamics, consumer insights to leverage commercial performance and represent the portfolio within the business.
Data led decisions will be your forte, using competitor insights by assimilating data from multiple sources e.g. GFK, online information, adhoc reports, sales and pricing information. Distilling clear and concise analysis of market opportunities and Miele’s brand performance in order to formulate and implement competitively advantaged growth plans.
You will identify and rigorously apply consumer and customer insights to drive growth including core consumer targets that leverage Miele activation against moments that matter in the consumer experience journey driving brand awareness and attracting new consumers.
You will work closely with the sales and training functions to steer the appropriate commercial direction for the categories. Develop strong retailer relationships particularly through Key Account Buying and Marketing Departments, ensuring that activity plans and marketing plans are in place to hit both short and long term objectives.
As well as developing the UK portfolio, you will also help develop the Miele brand across the Ireland and South Africa markets.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience of representing a brand or category within a strong FMCG consumer brand
- Excellent stakeholder management and be able to work autonomously
- Business and financial planning experience
- Skills in leading and managing projects
- Channel distribution and experience of working with major retailers
- Confidence to drive activities forward and provide recommendations to the business
- Revenue management
We don’t always expect experience of working with home appliances, we would always look for the ability to apply strategy across new markets, coupled with a passion for working with our products. The category is our most aligned to the FMCG market so an understanding of activities within this sector would give you a strong advantage in your application and we would love you to highlight this in your application.
In addition to a strong commitment to your personal development and growth, we can offer you salary up to £52,000 plus a competitive benefit package that could be up to £69,000 OTE.
We offer hybrid working from our offices in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
