Role: Digital Marketing Executive

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be part of a highly motivated team, focused on supporting the commercial success and growth aspirations of our company. As our Digital Marketing Executive, you’ll play an instrumental part in shaping our digital marketing strategy, evolving our marketing technology (HubSpot), expanding our digital capabilities, lending a hand with other marketing tactics when required and providing CRM (Hubspot) support to our commercial organisation.


This is a fast-paced, varied role that provides plenty of opportunity for personal growth and that will empower you to have a positive visible impact within the business: 

  • Shape our global digital marketing strategy, in support of our commercial goals and under guidance from our commercial leadership team.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing Manager and broader commercial functions to design and deliver digital marketing campaigns (awareness through to customer retention) using a variety of channels
  • Define relevant metrics and KPIs to measure, report and iteratively improve the performance of campaigns using a data-driven approach
  • Accountable for HubSpot platform as our core marketing automation and CRM platform
  • Create and activate effective CRM strategies to drive revenue from the database
  • Guide all content development from a keyword/SEO-friendly perspective
  • Facilitate growth in website traffic, drive effective user journeys through the website, to increase form submissions
  • Plan and manage our social media channels
  • Manage our relationship with digital agencies
  • Keep up to date with new digital marketing trends, technologies, channels etc., and propose their implementation as and where appropriate
  • Support with the execution of a limited number of face-to-face marketing activities as required
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines such as GDPR
  • Manage the Company website for content, Adwords and driving additional traffic through engagement marketing activities.

Selection Criteria:

  • Two - three years prior experience in a digital marketing role
  • Ideally B2B marketing background, Life Sciences would be a bonus
  • A good working knowledge of CRM/Marketing Automation - Hubspot preferred
  • Experience in multiple areas of the acquisition and retention funnel
  • SEO experience
  • Google Analytics knowledge
  • A marketing qualification, preferably degree-level

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full time


Flexible: remote working combined with 3-4 days/week at our Cambridge Science Park Headquarters, located within a leading UK life sciences hub on the edge of the City of Cambridge.
