Salary:                                   £23,080 - £27,041 per annum (NJC scale 14 - 22) 

Based at:                               Accrington Lancashire/ Hybrid Working 

Hours:                                    37 hours per week

Please Note: This is currently a hybrid working position, however, could be 100% remote dependent on skills and experience.

Purpose of role

The post holder will significantly raise the profile of the organisation to commissioners, customers and health and social care professionals. The Marketing Executive will take responsibility for all marketing activity, including various strategies and projects as needed. They will work with the Senior Management Team to implement and develop marketing plans, including promotional/information materials, email marketing via newsletter and promotional mailings, promotion via social media and Google SEO, PR opportunities, and database management. 

The candidate should have extensive experience in all aspects of mainstream marketing/media. Excellent written and verbal communications skills coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills. Must be flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed periods and proven ability to oversee all marketing activities.

Key tasks

1.    Take a lead on all organisation’s marketing and PR tasks, objectives, strategies, and project 

2.    Oversee the production of all marketing materials, including printed documents, media advertising spots, website content, and social media accounts

3.    Regularly liaise with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to discuss objectives and report on activity and updates on marketing progress and result

4.      Manage specific projects to facilitate the development of the Marketing output of the organisation 

5.    Evaluate marketing reports and data to report on activity trends etc. to Senior Leadership Team

6.    Work with SLT and Managers to incorporate marketing needs into overall planning and strategy

7.    Monitor competitor activity and advises on potential improvements or changes in marketing strategy, products, or services

8.    Organise, attend and facilitate Advocacy Focus networking, promotional and conference events

9.    Write and prepare innovative and engaging copy for internal literature and other publications

10. Travel to meet partners and stakeholders at meetings, trade shows, industry events, and seminar 

11. Adhere to and implement company policies and procedure 

12. Generate fresh content for company websites, blogs & email marketing

13. Generate new ideas and initiatives in full consultation with SLT

14. Input into marketing budgets

15. Manage internal and external resources to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to the agreed budget

16. Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, partners and suppliers

17. To work as a member of the Advocacy Focus team, attend bi-monthly staff meetings and training as necessary 

18. To represent Advocacy Focus at marketing associated meetings as required and provide feedback to the tea 

19. To be available to work occasionally at evenings and weekends as required

20. To work within Advocacy Focus’ policies and procedures

21. To be responsible for identifying areas for personal development 

22. To undertake any other duties as commensurate with the grading of the post
